Workshop Location and Times

All sessions take place in Room 2036 of the WVU downtown library. There is no security to enter the library. Signs will be posted in and outside the building to direct you.

The workshop sessions will run from 9:30–4pm Monday through Friday both weeks. Lunch will be catered in daily at noon. The workshop ends Friday, June 15 at noon.

Participants accepted to KairosCamp will have their transportation to Morgantown paid for. Your travel will be arranged in April of 2018 by our staff. Most folks will fly into PIT and take a shuttle to Morgantown. If you are within 6-hours driving distance, we can reimburse your mileage and parking is available at the hotel.

While in Morgantown, KairosCamp offers a shuttle to/from the workshops and social events for those with limited mobility.  When the shuttle is unavailable there are bus and taxi options:

All workshop sessions require participants to have a laptop computer. If you do not have your own laptop, please contact Demi Fuentes Ramirez to make arrangements in advance of arriving.

Wireless access is available throughout campus and in the Hotel Morgan. You will have a WVU guest login for wifi, or you can use eduroam if you have that service on your own campus.

Review this checklist to ensure you have all your tech needs covered before arriving:

  • If you are bringing your own laptop, make sure to download the tech listed on our git page.
  • If you are bringing a university-owned laptop, make sure you know the admin password so you can download and install software as needed. Also bring the email and phone number of your IT person on your campus, in case we need to call them.
  • Bring good headphones especially if you are working on audio/video materials.
  • Bring any additional hardware, software, or peripherals you need to work on your project.

Recreation Center

Guest access to the Student Recreation Center is available for $10 per day with a photo ID. The pass is good on the day it is purchased. The Rec Center is on the Evandale campus, north of the Downtown campus where the Library is located. See below for maps.

WVU is divided into three separate campuses: Downtown, Evansdale, and Health Sciences. The Library where the workshop sessions are held is on the Downtown campus. Full campus maps are available here.

Walking Directions from the Hotel Morgan to the WVU Library

Follow High Street uphill (towards campus). When you get to the top of High St., turn left onto Willey Ave., pass The Grind coffee shop (on your left) and round the corner onto University Avenue. The first crosswalk will take you up the hill to the steps of the downtown WVU Library.

Want A Little Help?

If you have mobility issues and need help navigating the campus, the KairosCamp shuttle will stop by the Hotel Morgan on its way to campus at 9:15am every morning.
