As part of the 2018 Library Publishing Forum in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the KairosCamp Editors Workshop will be held the two full days prior to the LPF conference, Sunday, May 20 and Monday, May 21, 2018 from 9:00–4:00 pm. Workshop sessions will take place in room 120 of the Elmer L. Andersen Library on the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities campus.
What’s included: Attendees at KairosCamp will be offered free Kairoscamp tuition registration, two nights lodging in the conference hotel (May 19 and 20), and meals during the pre-conference workshop.
What’s NOT included: We are offering KairosCamp as an add-on for LPF attendees. Therefore, LPF conference registration, flights, and lodging for the LPF conference nights are NOT included as part of KairosCamp.
Participants in the Editor Workshops will have a room paid for at the The Graduate Minneapolis on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Pre-conference lodging will be booked for KairosCamp participants separately.
We will have a dedicated hotel shuttle available to transport you to and from the Library. Morning shuttles will run at 8:30 and 8:45. Participants will need to go the bellstand in the hotel lobby and request the Kairos Camp Editor Workshop shuttle. The shuttle can transport 11 people at a time so when the first shuttle fills, it will leave and take the remaining people on the second run. The Library pickup and drop-off point is the lower level library entrance on 21st Ave (North side of building). Afternoon shuttles times are 4:15 and 4:30.
Participants will be provided breakfast pastries and morning coffee/tea, as well as a catered lunch. All meals will be served at the Library.
The workshop is now full and registration is closed. Should space become available, we will reopen registration on the LPF registration website. KairosCamp is free to register on a first-come, first-served basis (with no more than two people per press attending, please). KairosCamp registration does not cover LFP conference registration.
